Data We Collect
We collect the following personal data when you use Life Compass: email address (for authentication), profile information (name, avatar), usage data (goals, habits, rituals, life wheel assessments, emotional records, flow journal entries, decisions, circles, achievements, roles, values), and subscription/billing information processed by Paddle. We also collect anonymous product interaction events, aggregate page-view metadata such as page, referrer, approximate location, browser, and device type, and technical error diagnostics.
Purpose of Collection
We collect and use your data to: provide and maintain the Life Compass service, personalize your experience, process subscription payments through Paddle, send service-related notifications, improve our product through aggregated analytics, and comply with legal obligations.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely on Supabase cloud infrastructure. Supabase provides enterprise-grade security with encryption at rest and in transit, regular backups, and compliance with industry standards.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized usage statistics may be retained for product improvement purposes.
Third-Party Services
We use Supabase for authentication and data storage, Paddle for payment processing and subscription management, PostHog for anonymous product analytics, Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous aggregate traffic analytics, and Sentry for error monitoring. PostHog is configured without cookies or browser storage, does not create person profiles, and is not given your account identifier. Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies or associate page views with an individual or IP address. Paddle acts as our Merchant of Record and may collect payment information directly. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.
Your Rights
You have the right to: access your personal data at any time through the app, export your data in a portable format, request correction of inaccurate data, delete your account and all associated data, withdraw consent for data processing. To exercise these rights, use the in-app settings or contact us at the email below.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. PostHog analytics does not store identifiers in cookies, local storage, or session storage. Essential cookies are necessary for the app to function and cannot be disabled.
